Speed Limits

Speed limits are introduced to ensure greater road safety.

If you would like a speed limit to be lowered or raised, please contact us.

Your request will be assessed and a police view on the change sought.

If it is considered that a change in the speed limit is warranted then a new Speed limit Order has to be made, which involves a statutory legal process taking about nine months to complete.

If you wish to report a vandalised or missing speed limit sign, please contact us.
