Weight Limits
Roads and highways weight limits are restrictions that prevent large vehicles from using inappropriate roads, routes and areas in order to:
- reduce danger to pedestrians
- prevent damage to buildings
- reduce congestion on the roads.
How can I report a lorry that is damaging the road, causing excessive noise or congestion?
Where these restrictions are ignored, enforcement is a matter for the Police and not the council.
