Fly-tipping

We have agents monitoring fly-tipping, we remove illegal rubbish dumps and we issue tip clearance letters so you can correctly dispose of rubbish yourself.

The dumping of waste is a serious environmental problem in Lambeth, one which we are dedicated to combating. It is illegal to dump waste and if you are convicted punishments can include a fine of up to £50,000 and up to 5 years in prison.

Requesting a service

If you identify people fly-tipping on our streets, want to report a dump, or want to use our free special and bulky collections service, please contact the call centre on 020 7926 9000, email streetcarecallcentre@lambeth.gov.uk or use our online dumped rubbish reporting form or bulky refuse collection request form.

If rubbish has been dumped on a housing estate, please contact your housing office.

Rubbish that has been dumped on private land cannot be removed by Lambeth Council.

To get a tip clearance letter please visit our office at 1st Floor Service Team House, 185-205 Shakespeare Road, London, SE24 0PZ, from 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, with your loaded van so that we are able to inspect the contents. Proof of Lambeth residency is needed.
