Thornton proposed 20mph zone and car club bays
Following residents' concerns about road safety in Thornton Ward, Lambeth has developed proposals and now asks your views. We are proposing to introduce a 20mph zone in order to reduce the danger on roads within your residential area. It aims to lower vehicle speeds and improve the general environment so that residents and others are encouraged to walk and cycle more.
20 mph zones need to be self-enforcing and therefore traffic calming measures are required. We have indicated locations and describe different types of measures to assist you in your response.
We would like to get your comments on both the proposals and any other concerns you may have about road safety.
