Get Walking Keep Walking

Ramblers' Association Get Walking Keep Walking logoThe Get Walking Keep Walking Project, run by the Ramblers' Association, is working across Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark to improve the fitness of all the community. It aims to promote good health by motivating people, who are not active enough, to walk.

This project is hosted by the London Borough of Lambeth in the local authorities of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham.

What is Get Walking Keep Walking?

When you sign up you will receive:

  • a Welcome to Walking session with tips and advice on how to get the most out of walking
  • several easy led walks and other activities
  • lots of support from our local walking ambassadors
  • a DIY 12-week plan to walk your way to better health
  • information and advice to keep you walking.

Who can join the programme?

The programme is for everyone who wants to do more exercise, stay fit and get to know their local area on foot, and is ideal for people who aren't very active at the moment.

Through the Clapham Park Healthy Living Project, we hope to set up an on–going walking group after the programme ends

When is the next walking programme in Lambeth?

Wednesday 30 July, 2.30pm, Homan House, Kings Avenue, SW4 8ER.
