Lambeth Register Office
Lambeth Town Hall
London SW2 1RW
Telephone: 020 7926 9420
Email: registeroffice@lambeth.gov.uk

The office is open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Please note that the Register Office is closed on the first Wednesday of every month until 1pm.

4. If we can't issue a copy certificate

We won't be able to issue a copy certificate if we don't hold the record you're looking for or can't trace it from the information you provide.

If we don't hold the record, we'll let you know which Register Office does.

5. Historical searches

Unfortunately we do not have the staff to undertake lengthy historical searches.

If you do not have the exact details or you have found a reference from other online sources, for example the volume number/page details from the General Register Office (GRO), it is suggested that you submit your application to death certificate service from the GRO

Usually a search in the death index covering a period not exceeding five years can be made by us, but only where accurate details have been given of the death registration.
