Future Norwood
The council is currently developing a masterplan for the West Norwood area, in consultation with local residents and businesses.
The masterplan sets out the type of development that should happen and will help Norwood make the most out of the opportunities available.
Since January this year, we have been consulting with local people to develop a 'masterplan' that will help shape the future of Norwood. The masterplan is a strategic plan for the town centre that sets out what type of development should happen in the future.
The feedback we received has been fed into the draft masterplan which people will be able to review during stage 3 consulation.
Stage 3 consultation on the draft masterplan started on Monday 27 October and will run until Sunday 16 November.
We are pleased to announce that the permanent outdoor games area at Vale Street is now open. The modern, safe, floodlit pitch with an all weather surface is designed to provide comfortable playing whilst also reducing the risk of injury.
The new facility is open to all and is available for use on a first come, first served basis. Opening hours are between 0800 and 2100 everyday, with the exception of Christmas Day.
