Changes to Our Out-of-Hours Noise Service
From Monday the 1st December 2025, the Council will be updating the operating times of its out-of-hours responsive noise service. The responsive service will now operate on Friday and Saturday nights between 7pm and 3am, when the highest number of serious noise complaints occur across the borough. 

This approach is consistent with arrangements adopted by a number of other London local authorities and reflects evidence that weekend periods account for the majority of urgent noise disturbances.

Residents will continue to be able to report noise issues throughout the week via webform, and the daytime Public Protection team will investigate and take enforcement action where appropriate. Urgent cases requiring immediate attendance will be prioritised during the revised out-of-hours operating times.

If you are disturbed by noise nuisance, you can report it and we will make an assessment of the problem.

For us to assist with a noise complaint, you must call us out at the time the noise is happening.
