RSU
Research and Statistics Unit (RSU)
The Research and Statistics service provides educational research and statistical information to schools, governors, councillors and council staff to support them in their efforts to raise educational standards.
The Research and Statistics service focuses on four key areas:
- Support for Schools: Target setting and school improvement
- Support for Schools: School self-evaluation
- Support for LA: Planning, resourcing and performance monitoring responsibilities
- Support for LA: Statutory responsibilities
The section also undertakes research into Local Authority (LA) and school performance trends and produces research reports. Research in progress includes raising achievement in schools, GCSE performance, Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3 (KS1-KS3) performance, gender and ethnic differences in performance, underachieving schools and pupil mobility in Lambeth schools. The team are also responsible for good practice research into Black Caribbean achievement, achievement of African Heritage pupils, pupil mobility in Lambeth Schools and underachievement of Somali and Portuguese pupils.
This website also has a password-protected area set up for Lambeth's schools, where school heads can access a range of reports for their school, and view news and information provided by the Research and Statistics Service.
