We are developing our new Housing standard for council properties. Over and above the essential elements (detailed on the next page), there are a number of optional elements which could be included in the Lambeth Housing Standard. The council, as landlord, has a number of statutory obligations in relation to ensuring your homes are safe, warm and dry. The list below outlines all the elements the Council will be delivering to all our homes to ensure your home is indeed safe, warm and dry. These elements are:
•Fire safety works
•Water tanks / booster pump renewal
•Internal rewiring
•Individual heating upgrades where needed
•Sewerage and drainage facilities
•Work to bring voids back into use
•Communal electric renewals
•Communal boiler renewals
•Door entry / CCTV renewal (only where it is currently in place)
•Lift replacements
•Adaptations as needed
•Insulation where none exists (roof spaces and cavity walls)
•Roofs - repair / replace
