Help shape the Lambeth Transport Plan

picture1

The Lambeth Transport Plan will affect everyone in the borough. By giving us your input we can make sure your ideas are considered in our improvement plans.

Section 1: Our transport goals

Our five transport goals are shown below. They are in line with the Mayor of London's vision for improving transport in London as a whole as well as Lambeth's corporate priorities.

How important are these transport goals?

  To promote sustainable, healthy travel
To improve the condition of principal roads
  To improve air quality
To reduce the real and perceived danger on Lambeth's roads
  To reduce CO2 emissions

Section 2: Our new approach to improving transport

We plan to meet our goals through a road danger reduction approach to transport. We will aim to reduce the speed and number of motor vehicles in Lambeth and will encourage residents to choose active, green and non-threatening forms of transport such as walking and cycling.

Do you agree with a road danger reduction approach to improving transport?

Our new approach to improving transport

We plan to deliver neighbourhood projects that introduce a range of improvments to an area rather than single changes to individual streets. For example, 20 mph zones could be complemented with Car Club bays, tree planting, de-cluttering as well as cycle parking facilities and cycle training.
