Lambeth is a cooperative council. This means we will work with residents and local businesses to achieve better outcomes for local people. As we face increasing pressure on services and on our financial resources, it is essential that we ensure that we achieve the maximum possible value from the £582 million per year we spend on products, services and works.
We will use our procurement process to identify delivery partners who can help us:
- Manage demand by helping us build a stronger, more resilient population
- Work more collaboratively with citizens
- Achieve maximum value by looking for opportunities to contribute to our community outcomes, for example through the way that they work with citizens and their own supply chains
- Find innovative ways of achieving our outcomes while reducing cost
The London Borough of Lambeth is an accredited Living Wage employer. We also encourage our contractors to pay the Living Wage.
See more information on the Living Wage.
We expect competition - from comparing quotes for low value purchases to formal tenders for contracts over £100,000 or high risk.
