We're developing a single Social Care Hub for Lambeth to bring together voluntary sector services for carers, people with long-term conditions and disabled older people. Have your say at a public meeting.

What is it?

Work is now progressing to develop a new single Social Care Hub for Lambeth. This will bring together the main voluntary sector services for disabled and older people, people with long-term conditions and adult and young carers into a new service which, it is planned, should be in place by the end of 2014.

The Council is working with the current providers of services to these client groups, including Age UK Lambeth, South Thames Crossroads, DASL, Certitude and Mencap and with NHS Lambeth to produce the new Hub together ('co-produce'). This will be based on what service users and other stakeholders tell us through 'co-production' events and surveys through to late June.

How to have your say

We want to hear from as many disabled and older people and carers as possible, whether they use the current services or might want to use the Social Care Hub in the future. We also want views and ideas from organisations, professionals and members of the public.

Three special sessions have been arranged for disabled and older people, carers and any other member of the public, professionals and representatives of local organisations who want to come along and find out more about the plans for the Social Care Hub and to give their ideas.

How to respond

This consultation ended on Monday 23 June 2014 and is now closed for responses.
