Setting up a Direct Debit is quick and easy.
You'll need your:
- Council Tax account number
- bank name, branch and sort code
- bank account number and names on the account.
The payment dates you can choose from are the 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th or 25th of the month.

What happens next
We’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know we’ve received your application for a Direct Debit.
It can take up to 10 days for the Direct Debit to set-up.
When your Direct Debit has been set-up, we’ll send you a letter in the post to confirm this and any changes to your payment schedule.
I haven’t received a letter / my Direct Debit hasn’t been set-up
Contact us if you’ve applied for a Direct Debit but it hasn’t been set-up.

Change your Direct Debit details
You can change the bank account or payment date for your Direct Debit by filling in a new Direct Debit instruction form.
