1. Lambeth's voluntary and community sector
Lambeth has an established and diverse network of groups, which serve the wide range of communities in the borough. We have recently commissioned Equinox consultants to carry out research to allow us to better understand the support needs of the sector.
An excellent starting point for information about Lambeth’s communities is the annual State of Borough report.
This tells us the population of the borough is almost a third of a million people. It is one of the most densely populated boroughs in London and has a relatively young age profile.
The report contains demographic, socio-economic and health data, for example, and there’s a lot of information broken down to neighbourhood and ward level.
2. Communication resources
We have a variety of communication resources to help you promote your events and groups, or get your news stories out there into the wider community.
Our communication resources are listed below and include the following:
Love Lambeth news website
We want to fill Love Lambeth with stories from the community, and love to feature guest articles from the many great community organisations and voluntary groups all over Lambeth. If you have a project, event or initiative coming up we’d love to hear about it. Please take a look at our Love Lambeth guest article template for more information and tips.
Please contact the communications teams at email@example.com.
Our Lambeth events calendar lists council-run events around Lambeth. We also list a wide variety of groups, meet-ups, classes and workshops run by and on behalf of the Lambeth community.
If you would like your event listed, please contact the communications teams with the full details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We produce a number of publications which provide regular information to residents:
- Lambeth Talk - This is our main magazine and is delivered to every household in the borough.
- Focus On - Local area newsletters
- theBALANCE, a monthly enewsletter, dedicated to highlighting Council activities and campaigns.
