Join us on 29 July for an event held in support of the 'Stamp It Out' campaign, which is raising awareness of the harms from sales of illegal tobacco and the effects it has on our communities.
The aim of the roadshows is to raise awareness of the impact that illegal tobacco has on local communities, to make it less socially acceptable to buy and sell these products, and increase reporting of it, ultimately reducing sale and distribution across London.
This year the campaign has also broadened its aims to target retailers who continue to sell it by raising the perception of risk of getting caught.
On the day Lambeth trading standards, along with public health colleagues, will have posters to raise awareness of the problems caused by illicit tobacco, information to help you stop smoking, we will be asking non-smokers to spot the tell-tale signs of non-regulated cigarettes.
At the roadshow, there will be a sniffer dog handler discussing how the dogs are used to sniff out counterfeit tobacco.
Come on down have a chat and find out more about how we're working to stop the sale of illegal tobacco in Lambeth.
