lImage of Professor Ferre Laevers We're delighted to welcome internationally renowned Professor Dr Ferre Laevers to share his acclaimed research on children’s wellbeing and involvement.

He will explore:

  • the processes of learning
  • the crucial role of well-being
  • developing a powerful learning environment
  • the use of the Leuven scales.

This special conference will inspire and empower practitioners to further support young children’s learning.

It'll also explore how we can provide opportunities for children to be resilient, curious, creative and engrossed in play, investigations and learning.

Professor Dr Ferre Laevers: Director of the Research Centre for Experiential Education University of Leuven, Belgium and president elect of the European Early Childhood Education Research Association.

He has worked on ground breaking projects on children’s deep level learning and is considered the founding father of Experiential Education. He is widely known for his work on children’s emotional well-being and involvement.

Julia Moons: A senior member of the Leuven EXE team she has made a lasting impression on projects concerning children’s well-being. An active participant in the Experiential Education project since 1980, Julia is associated with the ‘Process-oriented Child Monitoring System’ and on ‘Observing involvement’.
