1. Planning application

An application for full planning permission was made to the council on 24 July 2019. Documents accompanying the application, and the comments made, can be viewed on the Lambeth planning website (enter '19/02696/FUL' in the search field).

The application seeks full planning permission for redevelopment of the former nursing home site, by way of demolishing the existing buildings on the site and for the erection of a part 24 part 29 storeys building and peripheral lower development of 3/4 storeys to provide residential units, together with servicing, disabled parking, cycle parking, landscaping, new public realm, a new vehicular and pedestrian access, and associated works.

2. Public inquiry appeal procedure

This appeal is against the non-determination by the London Borough of Lambeth of the above application. An appointed inspector will consider the appeal and decide whether planning permission is to be granted.

The Planning Inspectorate have scheduled the inquiry to open at 10.00am on 17 November 2020. The Inquiry is scheduled to close on 25 November 2020, but dependant on other factors, may continue till 27 November 2020.

The inspector appointed to decide the appeal is John Braithwaite BSc Arch B.Arch (Hons) RIBA MRTPI.
