Eligibility criteria
To apply for the fund you must:
- be a small to medium sized Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector organisation based or operating within Lambeth.
- be delivering or due to deliver cost of living related support activities in Lambeth between August 2024 and end of March 2025.
- be predominantly serving Lambeth residents.
- commit to running the warm space on at least 1 day per week between week commencing 13th November 2024 and week ending 17 March 2025, for organisations applying for funding to contribute towards a warm space for winter 24/25.
- be committed to ensuring inclusion and equity of access.
- be committed to supporting Lambeth to become a borough of equity and justice.
- be a formally constituted organisation.
- have a bank account with at least two signatories.
- ensure anyone making an application is at least 18 years old.
- be willing for your organisation to be promoted through council communications.
- be willing to complete monitoring and evaluation exercises as required
Priority will be given to:
- organisations that are serving/planning to serve wards characterised as having the highest levels of deprivation.
- organisations that are serving/planning to serve wards where there are gaps in service provision.
- organisations that are supporting certain sections of the population who are disproportionately impacted by or more vulnerable to the effects of the cost of living crisis including: people aged 65 and older, children and young people, carers, residents with no recourse to public funds, people on a low income, people from Black, Asian and Multi-Ethnic communities, people who have a long-term health condition, people with a disability, pregnant people, people who have a mental health condition.
- grassroots organisations who are proposing innovative ways to reduce cost of living crisis for local communities.
Equalities and equity of access:
Successful applicants will be asked to provide information on how the funding has assisted the organisation in improving the service they provide to residents with particular regard to those sections of the population who are most in need of support due to the cost of living crisis.
