Lambeth Council is facing the most significant financial challenge in its history.
Fourteen years of underfunding by central government, rising costs, and unprecedented demand for vital services like temporary accommodation, adult social care, and children’s services mean we must make tough choices about how we spend public money.
Between 2025 and 2029, the council must save £183 million - equivalent to 40% of our 2025/6 annual budget - while striving to protect essential services and support our most vulnerable residents.
We want every voice in Lambeth to help guide these decisions.
From 22 September to 19 October 2025, we are asking everyone in Lambeth to take part in our budget challenge survey by sharing your priorities, ideas, and feedback.
Your views will play a central role in shaping the council’s spending and service transformation for years to come.
Join the conversation and help shape the future of our borough.
