Register a food premises (register, approval and attestation)

We are responsible for the registration of premises used by food businesses and can advise on other types of licences required.

You must register premises used for a food business with us. This includes market stalls, delivery vehicles and other moveable structures.

Registration allows us to keep an up-to-date list of all those premises in the borough so we can visit them when we need to. The frequency of the visits will depend on the type of business.

What you need to know...

You must register your food business with the council 28 days before you start to sell food.

Certain food businesses are also required to be approved before opening. If you are unsure about whether your business needs to be approved, please contact the Lambeth Council Food, Health and Safety Team.
