Business-owned and business-led, Business Improvement Districts focus on improving the trading environment for businesses. They do this through improved promotion, safer streets, strengthening resilience and initiatives and incentives to improve business-to-business opportunities. Funded by a levy on local businesses, they give businesses a powerful role in the development of their area.
There are seven BIDs in Lambeth, which are listed below. You can also view a map of all business improvement districts in the borough and across London.
Brixton
Established in January 2014 this BID is working to improve trading conditions for Brixton businesses, and benefit the area as a whole.

Clapham
This is Clapham is a new organisation representing the interests of local businesses and delivering local projects. Any individual with a commercial interest in Clapham can become a member.
South Bank
A unique partnership of the major organisations in South Bank, Waterloo and Blackfriars, with a long-term commitment to improving the everyday experience of the area for employees, visitors and residents.
Streatham
Established in 2013, The InStreatham BID covers the High Road from Telford Avenue to Streatham Common South. It is made up of businesses from the local area.

Vauxhall
Vauxhall One, established in February 2012, is making an impact with Safe initiative. It introduced street wardens and has achieved a notable 15% reduction in street crime.

Waterloo
Lambeth’s first BID, We are Waterloo delivers an expansive programme of services to its members, and runs Lower Marsh market.
West Norwood and Tulse Hill
Station to Station BID was established in July 2016. The BID will invest more than £700,000 into the local area over the five-year term and will work to attract additional funding from external bodies.
