Moving Matters inclusive sport and activity programme
The project aims to provide young people with disabilities and special needs with opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity, in both a school and community setting.
This service now caters for children and young people of all ages and all disabilities.
Multi-sport community club weekend activities
Brixton multi-sports provides one head coach and three assistant coaches to enable children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities to participate in a variety of sports, such as running, basketball and yoga.
Age - 3-19 years old.
When - Saturdays during term time.
Times - Multi-sport from 2.00pm-4.00pm and football from 5.00pm-7.00pm.
Transport included? - No.
Spaces available - N/A.
School sports club after-school activities
The club offers coaching in a range of different sports and activities, including:
- boccia
- table cricket
- polybat
- new age curling
- athletics
- football
- tag rugby
- rebound therapy
- cycling.
Also included would be a period of time dedicated to developing movement and foundation skills.
Age - 3-19 years old.
When - Provider is to advise. Term time only.
Times - One hour at lunch time and after-school sessions
Transport included? - No.
Spaces available - N/A.
All children and young people accessing sporting sessions must be accompanied by a carer, teacher, play-worker, parent or guardian.
