Lifelong Family Links (LFL)

LFL will focus on improving the personal resources and functioning of children and young people with physical and learning disabilities, in particular, those with an autistic spectrum disorder.

Holiday playscheme

Activities include:

  • go-karting
  • dance and drama workshops
  • art workshops
  • cinema trips
  • music workshops
  • trips to parks and adventure playgrounds
  • horse riding
  • farm visits
  • football
  • storytelling workshops
  • cooking
  • seaside outings.

The holiday playscheme programme is for 5-19-year-olds, Monday-Thursday. Transport is included and will pick young people up from 8am and drop them home from 3.30pm onwards.

After-school clubs

Independent skills club activities include after-school independence sessions where the young person will have the opportunity to take part in activities such as healthy lifestyle and independence skills sessions, arts and crafts and much more.

Independent skills club:

Age - 5-19 years old.

Times - Fortnightly on Mondays, 4pm to 7pm.

Transport included? - No - drop off and pick up only.

Youth Club activities include social activities such as:

  • bowling
  • meal preparation
  • squids club
  • cinema
  • swimming
  • exercise sessions
  • music-appreciation disco
  • reading.

Youth Club:

Age - 14-19 years old.

Times - Fortnightly on Fridays, 6pm to 9pm.

Transport included? - Yes.

The mentoring service offer sessions to support a young person with challenging difficulties.

Mentoring service:

Age - 14-19 years old.

Times - three hours per session time on arrangement.

Transport included? - Yes.
