The Remakery

The Remakery want to become a more inclusive, resilient, and impactful community resource and aim to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, sensory-impaired, and neurodiverse individuals, ensuring equitable access to our space and services.

Alongside physical improvements, they will strengthen their internal capacity by enhancing governance, risk management and fundraising strategies, to enable long-term growth and impact.

Through research and community consultation, they will explore innovative uses of surplus materials and regenerative planting, co-designing green initiatives (linked to our recent Future Makers programme) that reflect local needs.

These efforts will inform a high-level strategy aligned with Lambeth’s Borough Plan 2030, with a focus on green job creation, sustainability, and stronger community-nature connections.

This project will benefit underrepresented groups, local residents, eco-conscious makers, and small businesses by fostering environmental responsibility and inclusive engagement.

Outcomes include improved accessibility, a more sustainable operating model, stronger community partnerships, and increased capacity to deliver impactful environmentally-focused programmes.

By embedding inclusivity at every level, The Remakery will serve as a model for community-led environmental action.
