Following the move to new Stockwell premises in March 2024, Spires operates a successful weekly women’s drop-in but recognises a gap in reaching some sex-working women, especially during daytime hours.
The pilot will trial assertive daytime outreach to increase access beyond existing nighttime efforts, allowing for more comprehensive support, including in-depth casework, partnership referrals, and holistic care.
Building on previous ad hoc initiatives and collaboration with Thames Reach Outreach in Brixton, the project will formalise a 2-year pilot, creating a dedicated daytime outreach worker role within Spires’ women’s service.
