Lambeth Council aims to increase canopy cover across the borough and aim to plant 5000 trees between 2022 and 2026. Regrettably though, there are instances where we need to fell trees. Most street trees are felled because they are dead, irreparably damaged (for example by vehicle collisions) or decaying to the point where they are structurally unsound. The Western Riverside Partners – the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, the London Borough of Lambeth, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the London Borough of Wandsworth and Western Riverside Waste Authority – work together to reuse, collect, sort, recycle, treat and dispose of waste in your area. The Partners have developed a long-term draft strategy 2025 – 2040 that we’d like feedback on.  Please complete our online survey within this webpage.

The council is consulting on reducing the frequency of non-recyclable waste collections from every week to every two weeks at street-level properties. We want to hear from you.
