Lambeth Council aims to increase canopy cover across the borough and aim to plant 5000 trees between 2022 and 2026. Regrettably though, there are instances where we need to fell trees. Most street trees are felled because they are dead, irreparably damaged (for example by vehicle collisions) or decaying to the point where they are structurally unsound. We’re asking the views of people who live, work and travel in the trial low traffic neighbourhood (LTN). This is because we’re considering making the changes permanent after monitoring of the LTN and found that it has reduced traffic in the area. Please share your views by completing our survey. The consultation runs from 14 February to 20 March 2022.
