The Proposal
Lambeth’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy 2021-27 sets out our plans to make the borough safer for everyone. To support this, we are setting up a panel of ‘experts by experience’, local people who have experienced violence and abuse.
Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) describes forms of violence and abuse that disproportionately affect women and girls, including domestic abuse and sexual violence. However, people of any gender can experience abuse of this nature and the consequences effect everyone.
We want to set up a panel but before we do this, we want to hear from victims and survivors about how the panel should look, feel, and operate.
We would like to speak with people who:
- have experienced violence and abuse,
- are aged 16 or over,
- live, work or study in Lambeth,
- are willing to share their views with the council about how our Expert by Experience Panel should look.
