Purpose/background
Lambeth Council are committed to becoming an Age Friendly borough where we work towards fostering a built and social environment that supports all residents to live healthier and active later lives.
To guide our approach to being an Age Friendly borough, we’re building on the World Health Organisation’s Age Friendly Cities and Communities Framework. We have also joined the UK Network of Age-Friendly Communities to learn from other Age Friendly Communities.
Lambeth Council has engaged with residents and partners to help inform our approach to developing the draft Age Friendly Lambeth Action Plan. The draft Action Plan sets out what we will do over the coming years and focuses on the key areas of community life that help to support ageing well, including housing, transport, outdoor spaces and building, communication, respect, social participation and civic participation and employment.
A summary of the draft Age Friendly Action Plan is provided within the survey, and you can also read the full draft Action Plan here.
You do not have to have read the full draft Action Plan in order to complete the consultation survey.
We are committed to listening to older residents and our partners throughout the Age Friendly Lambeth process. To find out more about our Age Friendly Lambeth process, please see our Age Friendly Timeline.
We will use your feedback from this consultation to inform the development of the finalised Age Friendly Lambeth Action Plan. Your views and input are important and we’d like to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
