Background / Purpose

Lambeth has successfully secured Round 6 Local Digital funding from Department for Levelling up Housing and Communities (DLUHC) for a discovery project focused on improving Building Control services for Local Authorities.

This collaborative project involves partnerships with Bath & NE Somerset and Bracknell Forest council’s Building Control services. We are exploring what works and what doesn’t work in the existing system for Local Authority Building Control services as well as exploring how we might improve these services.  The project will be using a User Centred design approach.  User centred design means carrying out research (and where relevant testing) to check that what we are designing is following on from what our customers have fed back to us as their needs and requirements.  Therefore, listening to what our users think will be key to the work.

Whether you have used our services in the past, or are currently using them, we would welcome your input  to help inform our research.

Next steps after the consultation closes

This survey will play a crucial role in shaping our understanding of existing experiences customers have with Building Control services.  It will feed into our analysis and final reporting, helping steer the direction of any future work.
