Have your say on Lambeth's draft Youth Strategy
The proposal
Youth services play a vital role in Lambeth. The impact the sector has on young people is real and long-lasting. Youth services play a key role in preventing difficulties in young people’s lives and provide a safe and fun place for young people to learn the right skills needed for adult life.
This draft Youth Strategy is Lambeth Council’s commitment to a 4-year vision for the Borough. We aim to be bold and ambitious, and have pledged 7 promises to help embed Youth Services at the heart of the work of the Council and its partners.
Background information / Purpose of consultation
We are running this consultation to understand the needs of young people to enable us to develop a young person led youth services model. We want to gain the views of young people, youth services workforce and service providers about how to offer a more inclusive, cost-effective and sustainable service. We want to upskill our Youth Services workforce and need to understand their training needs better.
Next steps after consultation closes
All the comments and suggestions we receive will be analysed and considered and will help shape the final strategy which will go to Cabinet on 22 November.
