The Proposal
Lambeth Council is aiming to create a safe and educational space for all our children, where they can learn through play and experience, giving them opportunity to practice and hone key skills including making new relationships, teamwork, and physical exercise.
The playgrounds on the Angell Town Estate will be refurbished in the new year and we aim to make them a gathering space for all residents and their families, regardless of their background which can help them thrive and improve their way of living.
We want to ensure that the residents of Angell Town are included in the decisions made on their estate and heard in what their needs really are.
We are looking at enhancing 4 key areas and want your feedback on what new playground equipment could be installed in each of them.
Key areas:
1. Leys Court Playground
2. Little Angel Playgrounds
3. Newbury House Area
4. Fairfax Playground
When the consultation closes
All feedback will be reviewed at the end of the conclusion and will be considered when deciding on what final equipment should be installed.
The Consultation period may extend past the 30th of December. Through January, we will collate the feedback from all residents and stakeholders.
The submitted feedback will be considered and compiled into a short report which will be shared with residents in January 2023.
We aim to have a grand reopening of the New Angell Town Playgrounds in April 2023. This is dependent on equipment order and installation times.
