Have your say on New Integrated Youth Hubs in Lambeth

The Proposal

Lambeth Council would like to hear the views of their residents about a new integrated youth hub that will be set up to provide key support services to young people aged 14-25 years old in housing advice and mental health support as well as many others for young people in the borough. Services will be delivered from one, centralised building as well as from smaller hubs in your local area.

Background information 

Lambeth has a range of good quality services for young people however these are not always able to work in an integrated and collaborative way due to services operating from several settings across the borough, individual practices not being aligned and differences in organisational cultures. 

Best practice for supporting young people has shown that local authorities should provide a single point of access to services from one location where these services are co-located in a ‘one-stop shop hub’. This improves the consistency of response and increases opportunities for early intervention and prevention. 

Purpose of consultation

We have already undertaken early engagement with a variety of organisations and individual stakeholders. However, we need the views and opinions of a wide range of Lambeth residents to ensure that the new integrated youth hub meets the needs of all young people in Lambeth. We need your help in doing that together.

The results of the consultation will be built into the Integrated Youth Hub's needs assessment which will be published publicly.
