Lambeth is consulting on a draft Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Needs Assessment specifically for its young population.  The needs assessment looks at several protective and risk factors associated in determining both good and poor mental health. It also aims to help us understand the emerging mental health need for children and young people in the borough and what the potential gaps are.

Improving mental health outcomes for young people is one of our top priorities. We want every young person in Lambeth to lead happy and healthy lives so that they can realise their own potential and achieve the best outcomes possible. We want to ensure they experience positive mental health and wellbeing, and that the right services are in place to respond to the needs of those requiring support.

We want you to have your say on some of the recommendations resulting from the needs assessment. In particular, we want to hear from children and young people, parents and carers and professionals directly working with Lambeth children and young people.

How to respond

Below is the link to our Commonplace website with more information on what the needs assessment is about. It also provides an overview of the main findings and recommendations, which will be helpful when completing the online survey where you can tell us about your experiences of services and what you think of our proposals.
