Purpose / Background

School Streets create pedestrian and cycle zones in streets around schools during drop-off and pick-up times. 

The scheme aims to:

  • reduce road danger at the school gates
  • tackle congestion
  • improve air quality
  • increase active travel to school

This phase will include School Streets in one school:

The Turney Road and Rosendale Primary School, Rosendale Road London SE21 8LR
