20 goals for climate action
The Climate Action Plan (CAP) also sets out Lambeth’s goal to become net zero compatible by 2030. This means the borough (residents, businesses and the council) will be as close as possible to zero overall emissions, by prioritising emissions reductions, and compensating for any remaining emissions through offsetting activities, such as planting trees.
Achieving our goal to become a prosperous, fair and climate resilient Lambeth requires action to be broken down into the following clearly defined priority areas:
- Adaptation
- Buildings and energy
- Transport
- Waste, consumption and food
- Biodiversity and environmental quality
