After the creation of the London Borough of Lambeth in 1965, Lambeth’s new Department of Architecture and Planning, led by Ted Hollamby, went on to design some unusually diverse and distinctive council housing across the borough. Many of these buildings are now recognised for their architectural merit. The exhibition, curated by Christiane Felber, uses original architect’s models, archival documents and images and oral history to explain the planning context and to explore and celebrate Hollamby’s architectural legacy for Lambeth.
