We start at the Grade ll listed, brick-built railway bridge over Rosendale Road, the central arch of which is an ellipsis. We stroll along Rosendale Road, passing the façade of the old milk depot, the Peabody estate, the site of the old coal depot, two schools, and four model houses possibly designed for the Ideal Home Exhibition in the mid 1920s .

We finish at the glorious All Saints’ Church, the only Grade l listed building in our area. Gutted by fire in 2000, it was sensitively restored and reopened in 2006. The soaring height of the interior resembles a cathedral, and it is a sight to behold.
