Poetry Night: Stories, Voices & Conversations

Poetry Night is hosted and co-compèred by Dee Majek and Alex Murdock, alongside a line-up of guest poets, including Maia Watkins and more for an inspiring Black History Month evening of poetry, spoken word and conversation.

The readers will share powerful original work exploring themes such as Black history, identity, heritage, resilience, belonging, community and contemporary lived experience.

More than a series of performances, this is an opportunity to listen, reflect and take part. Following each reading, Dee and Alex will invite audience questions and conversation, creating a shared space to explore the stories and themes that the work raises.
