Jon Newman leads a cycle ride along the nine-mile length of the Effra, Lambeth’s longest lost river. From source at Crystal Palace to entry into the Thames at Nine Elms, the route follows its ancient course through Norwood, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Brixton, Kennington and Vauxhall. Come with a reasonable bike, moderate fitness and prepared for some climbing.
