Taken from the new book The Place for Me - Stories About the Windrush Generation, Dr Ayshah Johnston from the Black Cultural Archives (BCA), will deliver a talk and read a story
called “The Wind and the Snow”, a moving story between a grandfather and his grandson about what it was like when he first came to England – why his family came to England, the cold weather, and the racism he experienced. Join the BCA and Lambeth Libraries to celebrate this new documented account of the Windrush generation for young people. A Windrush history lesson followed by a Q&A session.
