Big Up Communities

Big Up Communities (formerly Big Up Films) is a registered charity dedicated to giving communities a voice through creativity, collaboration, and empowerment. We use play, fitness, and creative mixed media art as tools to engage children with the overarching aim of improving quality of life through personal and social development.
Our mission is to identify and respond to social issues that impact local communities—especially those who are underrepresented or marginalised. Every project is carefully tailored to reflect the needs and interests of each group, creating safe, supportive spaces where participants can explore, express, and grow. Creative activities are central to our approach, used not only as creative outlets but as powerful tools for empowerment, inspiration, and connection.
