Spectrum Socials CIC puts on thoughtfully planned social events for small groups of children with autism and additional needs, where therapists provide support to facilitate positive interactions and encourage the development of social skills.
Our mission is to increase opportunities for neuro-divergent children to build meaningful connections and engage in positive social interactions. By gathering insights from parents, we carefully match like-minded children based on their age and communication level.
Events are put on across London and include trips to the park, museums and trampoline parks. Kids are sent social stories prior to the events so they are prepared and excited to meet their new friends!
Parents come along to the events too and have the chance to chat with each other while their kids are entertained, building their own support network, and hopefully making some new friends themselves!
We also run girls’ groups for conversational girls from 12 to 16 years old who are experiencing anxiety. This involves 8 online sessions and a meet up in London at the end. We have small groups and the sessions are a combination of fun games, chats and work around anxiety using an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach. Have a look at our webpage or get in touch directly for more information.
