The 'Future Forward' programme aims to support Lambeth-based young people aged over 16 years to move closer to the labour market. We provide three-dimensional support, building confidence, resilience, aspirations and general life skills in all participants.
The FUTURE FORWARD is completely free for our participants and the programme will include:
1) A wide range workshops on employability skills such as writing a good CV, interview practice, teamwork and how to search for work.
2) 1-2-1 Support finding sustainable work that will be right for their skills and circumstances.
3) Training on the ‘soft skills’ of employment – such as body language, personal appearance, looking after health and wellbeing in the world of work, as well as customer service and dealing with conflict.
4) Individual mentoring and coaching to help them build their personal job search plan and confidence.
5) Key life skills, mental and physical health support. Ensuring that participants can be successful in whatever endeavours they pursue.
All of our support is delivered in a non-judgmental, fun, and supportive way. After people move on, usually into employment or training, we maintain contact, and they know that they can reach out for our support again. We’re with clients for the long haul!
In all our work with young people, they reported significant improvements in their mental health, confidence, and sense of direction in life. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
