This is an information request relating to the London Borough of Culture.

Please include the information for each of the following periods; 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22:

• Annual expenditure on any submissions made for the purpose of the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture
• A breakdown of how this money has been spent

In the event that the Borough was successful, please provide information on how much the Borough received and a full breakdown of how the funding was spent, including:

* A list of cultural activities funded

* Any pictures taken from the cultural activities

* Any artworks installed using the funding, and pictures of the artwork

* Copies of plans produced to 'make culture an integral part of the borough's future'

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

Our response

No submission was made to the Mayor's London Borough of Culture programme in 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, or 2021-22. 

However, a submission was made in 2017-18 and Lambeth was awarded a Cultural Impact Award of £200,000 for our Radical Hearts, Open Minds bid. This award was spent across the following financial years highlighted in the information request:

The ELEVATE evaluation report is available publicly and provides a detailed breakdown of how the Cultural Impact Award was scaled up into the ELEVATE programme, including the activities funded and pictures of these activities.
