I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to kindly request the following information under the Freedom Of Information Act 2000:-
(a) addresses of Commercial properties that are available to rent within the borough of Lambeth and owned by Lambeth Council as of the 2nd June 2020 (or the time of replying back to the request), in particular properties available within Brockwell Park
(b) Type of use (e.g. office, shop, storage facility, etc) of those properties
c) Approximate date (month) of any leases due to lapse and will therefore be up for renewal within the next three months
(d) an approximate size of the above-mentioned properties and their usage class and specifically, e) when does Brockwell Park Cafe come back for new tender
Our response
The following table provides the addresses, size and potential use for Lambeth Council premises that are currently available to let. There is no availability in Brockwell Park at this time. The current projected commencement of marketing for the new Brockwell Hall food and beverage opportunity is February 2023.
The Council’s agent for applying for premises is Sanderson Weatherall. Information about available property and how to apply can be found on the their website at www.sw.co.uk and also on Zoopla Commercial, Realla and Co-Star.
The Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2020 (legislation.gov.uk) provides more detail about the potential uses for premises that fall within class E.
With reference to your request for dates when leases are due to lapse I advise that our commercial tenants have an automatic right to renew their leases. This means that premises with leases that are coming to an end will not be available unless the tenant decides not to renew their lease.
