1. Managing your Council Tax

Register to use the mylambeth Council Tax service

You’ll need the following information to register:

  1. Email address
  2. Council Tax account number
  3. Last name
  4. Postcode

You’ll also need any one of the following:

  • The email address you use for e-billing.
  • The amount of the last Council Tax payment you made.
  • The day of the month your Council Tax payment is due.

This helps us to confirm your identity.

Your information

Once you have registered and connected to your Council Tax account, all your information will be available immediately.

You can:

  • view your payment dates and payments made
  • view correspondence you have received about your account
  • make an online payment or set-up a direct debit
  • sign up for e-Billing
  • tell us you're moving home.

2. Managing your Housing Benefit

Managing your Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support application in mylambeth allows you to stay up to date.

You can:

  • track the status of your claim
  • view your entitlement if you qualify for benefits
  • report a change in circumstances
  • get answers to frequently asked questions.

3. Managing your business rates

Register to use the mylambeth business rates service

You’ll need the following information to register:

  1. Email address
  2. Business rates reference
  3. Last name
  4. Postcode

You’ll also need any one of the following:

  • The email address you use for e-billing.
  • The amount of the last payment you made.
  • The day of the month your payment is due.

This helps us to confirm your identity.

Once you have registered and connected to your business rates account, all your information will be available immediately.

You can:

  • view your payment dates and payments made
  • view correspondence you have received about your account
  • make an online payment or set-up a direct debit
  • sign up for e-Billing

4. Guidance for landlords

Once you've registered, you'll need your creditor reference, as well as a claim reference and surname of a tenant. This information will allow you to validate your landlord account and access your payment schedules.

Tenant information can then be viewed by entering their claim reference and surname.

5. Rent and service charge accounts

Rent and service charge accounts aren't yet available in mylambeth.

6. Activating your Housing Benefit or landlord account

Once you’ve registered to use the mylambeth Housing Benefit and landlords service, you’ll receive an email asking you to activate your account. Click the link in this email to activate your account.

If you don't receive this email, check that it hasn't gone into your 'junk' or 'spam' folder.

If you still can’t see the email, return to the login page and 'sign in'. Enter the email address and password you used to register.

You'll get an error message, however this will prompt another activation email to be sent. If you do not receive this activation email then please contact us.

7. Forgotten password

Housing Benefit and landlords

If you aren’t logging in with your Google, Facebook, or Microsoft account and have forgotten your password, you can reset it:

  1. Go to the login page and click ‘Forgot password?’

  2. We’ll email you a link to reset your password

If you don’t receive this email, please check your spam or junk folder.

Council Tax and business rates

  1. Go to the login page and click 'I forgot my password'.
  2. Enter your email address and click next
  3. Answer the security question you set up when you registered
  4. We'll email you a link to reset your password

If your question hasn’t been answered above, you can report an issue with mylambeth.

We can answer questions and fix problems with your mylambeth account, but if your question is to do with one of the services on mylambeth, like an error with your Council Tax or benefit information, you'll need to contact the relevant department.
