Apply for approval of details reserved by condition (discharge of conditions)

Apply for approval of details reserved by a condition, also referred to as an application to discharge a condition.

Following on from Lambeth’s successful pilots for lawful development certificates and householder applications, we are pleased to launch this pilot for the approval of details reserved by a condition, also referred to as an application to discharge a condition.

It can also be used for confirmation that one or more planning conditions have been complied with.

This service is a pilot, so you may encounter some bugs and issues. We have provided a dedicated telephone line for applicants should you experience issues in using this new tool.

You can use Lambeth’s pre-application advice service to obtain advice about your proposal and whether you are meeting the requirements of a condition.

What you’ll need

Have as much detail to hand as possible, including all the information requested in the condition(s). We’ll ask you questions about:

  • the property
  • the planning permission the condition(s) relate to
  • whether you are seeking approval of all or part of a condition(s)

Check our Local Planning Application Requirements (PDF, 1.4MB) to find out what else you may need to submit.

You’ll also need a credit or debit card to pay any planning fees, or, if someone else will be paying the fee, the contact details of the person you want to ‘invite to pay’. The fee depends on whether the application relates to a dwellinghouse or another type of development.

Disabled residents

If you’re making changes to your property to support a disabled resident, you may be exempt from paying fees. We’ll ask for supporting information for this in your application.

When you’ll get a decision

You should get a response in 8 weeks.
