14 April 2025
The examination hearings on the SADPD concluded on 6 March 2025. Further information about the next stages in the process will appear on this page in due course.
At the suggestion of the Inspector, further discussions were held between the council and Coin Street Community Builders following the examination hearings.
A Statement of discussion between the London Borough of Lambeth and Coin Street Community Builders has now been made available in the Examination Library with the document reference SCG 10a.
17 February 2025
A new version of the Hearings Programme has been made available. The hearings continue to be scheduled in 2 separate weeks, from Tuesday 18 February to Thursday 20 February and from Tuesday 4 March to Thursday 6 March.
From now on, please refer to the Google Drive folder Hearings Programme for the most up-to-date version of the Hearings Programme.

The council have published a Statement of Common Ground with Coin Street Community Builders, which has been made available under Submission Documents in the Examination Library.

31 January 2025
The council have submitted their Hearing Statements in response to the Matter, Issues and Questions (MIQs) raised by the Inspector. These, along with Hearing Statements from any third parties, will be made available under SADPD Examination Documents as soon as reasonably possible.
13 January 2025
The Inspector has submitted their Matters, Issues and Questions (MIQs) to the council. These MIQs will form the basis of the Inspector's consideration of the soundness and legal compliance of the SADPD and will therefore guide discussion at the hearing sessions.
Accompanying the publication of the Inspector's MIQs, a Guidance Note from the Inspector providing information about the Examination of the SADPD has been made available. The Note concerns procedural and other aspects of the examination process and is meant to assist those who have made representations on the SADPD as part of the pre-submission consultation processes and those who wish to appear at the hearing sessions.
This document sets out the relevant deadline for those who wish to participate in the hearing sessions and/or submit Hearing Statements. This deadline is midday on Friday 31 January 2025.
The Provisional Hearings Programme made available on 13 January 2025 (V1) has now been superseded.

The examination hearings will commence on Tuesday 18 February 2025 at Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton Hill, London SW2 1RW. Further information and details are included in the Examination Notice (PDF 55.53KB).
Examination Library
The SADPD Examination Library contains all the documents relevant to the Examination of the Site Allocations Development Plan Document.
The Inspector
Inspector R Aston BSc (Hons) Dip TP MRTPI has been appointed to hold the independent examination of the SADPD.
Programme Officer
Charlotte Glancy has been appointed as the Programme Officer for the Examination and will deal with all procedural and administrative matters. They are independent from the council and report directly to the Inspector.
Charlotte Glancy is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the Examination and will act as a channel of communication between the Inspector and all parties, including the council officers and representors.
All correspondence or queries relating to the Examination should be directed to the Programme Officer.
